Hi,

We want to view a VSAM file on RDz but when we used to open that it shows this error;
"File Manager is unavailable on target system. Verify the system configuration settings and try again.

Reason:

CRRZF6526e: An IO connection exception occurred"

We had configured File Manager on our UT box but still why we getting this error? Do we have to install some other plugin or anything like that?

Please Help me in this regard!!!

Use of PD Tools is not included in the RDz-UT license. If you have a mainframe license we may be able to help you, otherwise you can't run them on RDz-UT. This is clearly spelled out in the license agreement.

Hi John.

File Manager already comes with UT box as we can see and we had follow the Host Installation guide which tells us how to make it up and running. Its working on our UT box am asking that how it can work on RDz client?

For Eg; If we want to view a VSAM file in UT box so we can view it, but we can't view it on RDz.
It gives us this error;

As John says PD Tools are not included in the RDz-UT license (except for Debug Tool), so I suppose you have a mainframe license.

Which File Manager version are you using?
The setup for use with RDz differs depending the version (V12 vs V11,V10).

Please read the license. We include a pre-packaged z/OS system with RDz-UT. As such, there are several products that are included on the RDz-UT DVDs that you are not licensed to use. PD Tools, (File Manager and Fault Analyzer,) are two of them. If you had licensed copies of FM and FA, you could download additional code to get them working with RDz.
