Hi!
Yes, there should be a signature in case when DB2 was installed on Windows or AIX or Linux.
But, as I already mentioned above:
"DB2 on iOS is embedded and therefore there are no signatures to discover by the distributed scanner for iOS."
There is no DB2 installation!
When you check the Software Signatures you will see that those signatures are either for UNIX or Windows.
There are no installation steps for "DB2/400" or "DB2 for i" which is the embedded database on iOS.
License information from announcement letter for DB2 11.1
DB2 Connect Unlimited Edition for System i licenses are based on the number of processor cores (measured in PVU) allocated to DB2 for i that is being accessed.
Charges for the program are not based on the number of processors attached or available to the DB2 Connect Unlimited Edition for System i itself.
So do I need to create a signature "manually" for a charged component and have to run the "distributed scanner for iOS" on the iOS Server with the embedded Database "DB2 for i", to count this PVUs?
I need a confirmation for this!
Thank you in advance!
