Hello,
No, ILMT does not offer such an alert feature. Note the final PVU value is a function of multiple factors like software presence, component's pricing type in license terms (free or chargeable), hardware type, metric type. The key is to have PVU values within the number determined by your licenses purchased - see:
https://www.ibm.com/docs/en/license-metric-tool?topic=concepts-high-water-mark
Note that although ILMT allows to automate certain actions (like scans) it is not an automated tool. It is you, as ILMT operator, who is expected to actively work with ILMT to perform software review and classification actions and generate reports. It means working with ILMT is a process, not a one time task, so potential discrepancies should be easy to notice based on your knowledge of the environment you manage and, potentially, input from other persons/teams involved in your infrastructure maintenance.
I think the most similar feature is configuring reports to be e-mailed when a specific number of rows is exceeded in the report - see "Conditional report emails based on the number of rows in the report" at:
https://www.ibm.com/docs/en/license-metric-tool?topic=tool-whats-new
and also:
https://www.ibm.com/docs/en/license-metric-tool?topic=notifications-scheduling-report-emails
Furthermore, for even easier checks and potential problem determination, you may set a license metric threshold like explained at:
https://www.ibm.com/docs/en/license-metric-tool?topic=utilization-setting-license-metric-threshold
If the features presented above do not suit your needs, then you may suggest further improvements by opening a Request For Enhancement (RFE) at:
https://www.ibm.com/developerworks/rfe/execute?use_case=changeRequestLanding&BRAND_ID=301&PROD_ID=251
Best regards,
LMT-MZ
