Earlier this week, we released a new offering on AWS called API Connect Advanced. This plan provides the same AWS infrastructure for API Manager, Portal, and Analytics, but now provides dedicated DataPower Gateways. Because of this, with the Advanced Plan, we can now support Gateway Script and XSLT processing on our Amazon service. This offering is not available yet on Marketplace, but can be quoted and sold from you IBM representative. This new plan will be offered on Marketplace in the May time frame.

Subject: How can I base64 encode in API Connect SaaS ?
Hi Steve,
Sorry, I forgot to write that this is API Connect SaaS on AWS.
Gatewayscript is not supported and I can't find any other way to accomplish this without calling an external function/service.
Regards,
Rikard

Hi Rikard,
I'm assuming you are meaning the public SaaS as I don't believe SaaS private instances have any restrictions, but I thought public SaaS has access to both the GatewayScript policy and the XSLT policy?
In GatewayScript, btoa function, see https://developer.mozilla.org/en-US/docs/Web/API/btoa
In XSLT, dp:encode extension function, see https://www.ibm.com/docs/en/datapower-gateway/10.0.1?topic=functions-dpencode
Best Regards,

Hi,
Is there a way to base64 encode when using the SaaS deployment?
E.g. the response from a request or any other context variable.
Regards, Rikard
