I believe there should be an option -Dsomething=path or some other way to set the installation path correctly. Could you please advise on resolving this issue?

Did you move the CPLEX 12.2.0.0 installation to some other directory after having installed it? Or did some other user install the 12.2.0.0 version? I think the installer stores the installation path in some local file and the fix pack installer then expects the previous version to be still located at the place to which the local file points to.

As far as I remember, I had the same issue, and the easiest solution was to just install CPLEX 12.2.0.0 again, and then install the fixpack.

Thank you for a quick reply. The file you're talking about is an xml file, which is stored in the home directory. It contains an installation path among other settings. I did move the installation folder to a different place, so the path setting was outdated.
I'm now reinstalling CPlex (editing the file did not help).
