Has something changed recently that would have affected the order of the columns when doing Export Financials All from the Summary or Other tabs ?  I'm still gathering details, but am getting reports from people who are unhappy because they have to fix offline processes that consume the export file.  (I know and have encouraged them to develop their own Layouts to insulate them from things like this)

Hi @George McElfresh!  Something to keep in mind is hidden columns.  If you are creating a layout and you have columns hidden from view they will sneak in (seemingly anywhere they want in my opinion) if you do an Export ALL.  What you might try to do is an Export LAYOUT.  This will only export what you are seeing on your screen at that point in time.  So if you have columns hidden or organized in a Layout unique to you, then that is how it will export.

I'm curious as to whether your back-end systems require a specific column order not just consistent names? I've recently chatted with a colleague about a customer who runs a report and the export sometimes changes the column order arbitrarily causing some "woe & sorrow" for the user. 

I would love to learn more about which financial systems you use and what the templates SHOULD look like.  If you know of others in our Community that have the same requirement we should band together, and get an Idea created.

It would be feedback for the Product team to understand that we can possibly "can" some of these as "canned" or standard export layouts in the software to support this operational need. 

This was impacting users in finance who were exporting and dropping the output into Excel models they had built.  It's an easy fix on their side to adjust to the new layout but they weren't very appreciative of having it just happen to them one day and now that they've adjusted their models wondering when it might happen to them again.
