  • 1.  Enabling Ldap for authentication

    Posted 10/27/17 09:57 AM

UPDATE:  So I got a little further if the user is authorized to login to the server that omnibus is running on they can log in to nco_config and to impact web ui but they have no access in Impact just a blank screen with logout as the only option.

So I was running older versions of Impact and Omnibus in my Prod environment but had upgraded to 7.1.0.8 and 8.1 in dev and have LDAP working there.   I used nco_osreport and nci_export to clone my Dev env to the Prod one thinking that would enable the ldap integration.  I made sure I had the pam files needed in /etc/pam.d but no go.  I tried following the documention but still no go. I get this
2017-10-26T16:10:30: Error: E-OBX-102-023: Failed to authenticate user rbro125. (-3615:User not enabled

When I login to the object server with the admin account and look at that user it shows enabled.

    Hi,

So you cannot login to ObjectServer? You need to make sure the user is enabled and set for external authentication.

There is also a LDAP.props file in $OMNIHOME/etc which you'll need to update to allow for LDAP authentication.

How are you creating the users? via LDAP or manually?
