  • 1.  Disaster Recovery of API Connect on CP4I Openshift

    Hi Team,

We have our  API Connect Production Environment in working state which is on CP4I OpenShift also we have setup the DR environment on different server which is replica of production environment as it contains all the required encryption keys of it.
We need help on the following things :-

    1) Is it possible if we make any changes in API's of Production Environment the same changes should replicates on DR environment automatically ?? If yes please provide us steps for it .
    2) How to sync both the Environment in Active-Passive State so that whenever Production Environment gets crash, DR environment should come in Active state and all the hits should be going through DR environment.

Did you set up DR according to Disaster recovery on OpenShift and Cloud Pak for Integration ?

    1) Is it possible if we make any changes in API's of Production Environment the same changes should replicates on DR environment automatically ?? If yes please provide us steps for it .

If you installed APIC using Key concepts of 2DCDR and failure scenarios , Answer: Yes. Otherwise: No.

    2) How to sync both the Environment in Active-Passive State so that whenever Production Environment gets crash, DR environment should come in Active state and all the hits should be going through DR environment.

    Answer:

If you installed 2DCDR, please see steps in the doc. Otherwise, please read the following:

    High Availability (HA)
Do you want to ensure that API traffic is processed? Please see
High Availability with Two Data Centers  for a discussion of pro/con of two architectures. Both deploy DataPower Gateway subsystems in different OpenShift clusters to provide HA.
