    Benchmarks for CT
Has anyone used the Apptio components in CT for Benchmarking?
Are the report useful? How are they compared against Interactive Benchmarking report?
In another discussion I read there were some issues with Benchmarking in CT, is anyone experience any bugs with CT Benchmarking
We would like to use them but I'm not sure if it would be worth for our company all the work that implementing this would represent. We can get Interactive Benchmarking updated automatic from CT but I wonder if Benchmarking in CT could provide more information.
I would appreciate your insights on this.
    Thank you!

    Hi, Ofelia,

The IT Spend Benchmark and Infrastructure Benchmark reports can be integrated with the Costing Standard project. IT Spend Benchmark provides the ability to:
    1. Compare IT spend to industry benchmarks (e.g., IT Spend as a % of Revenue)
    2. Analyze IT operating expenditures broken down by cost pool and IT resource tower
Infrastructure Benchmark enables comparison of infrastructure unit costs to peer benchmarks (e.g., $/T1 Storage, $/Physical Server) across multiple areas, including: Compute, Storage, Network, End User Desktop, Service Desk, Communications, Output
Please note that Interactive Benchmarking will still be required, as the data for these reports originates from there. These components will simply help bring the benchmark insights into the Costing Standard project.
    Hope that helps, thanks,

Loading the benchmarking data into CT is actually quite simple after you install the components, if you follow the reference project. We manipulated the benchmarking data a bit because we wanted several industry comparisons in the CT reports so you need to download and combine several files. But it was probably less than a day of work. Happy to connect if you have questions.

    Hello Dan,

Thank you for your reply. Uploading the Benchmark industry data is my struggle. It's not clear to me where that data comes from nor I'm sure I'm getting the right data.

I downloaded Interactive benchmarking data with 3 industries selected  and uploaded in a table and then mapped it to the Benchmarking Data Master table but when I look at the reports for Benchmarking in CT in some reports I see the Benchmark data related to calculated cost $0.

Any help you can provide would be highly appreciated.

    Thank you!
