Dear COS users,

We are putting the last touches to the next version of CPLEX Optimization Studio.  Version 12.8 should be available to all in the first half of December.

Here are some of the most prominent changes:

• Performance improvements on a wide range of problem types
• OPL and the IDE available on MacOS.
• New callback framework in CPLEX, to avoid disabling dynamic search, and make sure that callbacks don't interfere with the CPLEX search when not necessary.

it's not only the academic cannel (I was looking there every day, too) - also a web search for CPLEX 12.8 only produces the announcement links.

Seems there were some problems detected in the final touches/tests and we'll have to wait a bit longer till these are removed.
