  • 1.  Could students obtain previous versions of CPLEX?

    Hi there!

    I would like to use CPLEX with the MATLAB interface and unbuntu, but it is not available in the current version (22.1), but it is in the last version (12.10).

    Could I, as a student, obtain version 12.10 of CPLEX?

    if possible, where can I find previous cplex? could you send me a link?

    Older versions of CPLEX Optimization Studio are available from your Academic Initiative download page.


    Please connect to Academic Initiative with this link: https://www.ibm.com/academic/home


    Once logged on, go to this page : https://www.ibm.com/academic/topic/data-science?ach_id=6fe17098-43df-4a9d-8412-3377286841a3


    Then follow the Download link - it will lead you to the IBM Academic Initiative download link.


    Below "Search options", click on "Text", enter "CPLEX Optimization Studio v12.10" as the product name.


    Then click the search button.

    Hi Rory,

    I have followed the above guideline to get an older version of Cplex, but when I click on the download button it didn't direct me towards downloading file or as you have explained above. Is there any other way to get older version? please guide me about it or attach here some other useful links from where I can get Cplex v12.10 for macOS. Thanks

    Thanks for your response. I am able to download it now, actually after clicking the download button it shows a pop-up window and we need to follow that window.

    If you can access the downloads site, search for the eAssembly: CJ6BPML
    This maps to IBM ILOG CPLEX Optimization Studio V12.10

    I am trying to download the academic version CPLEX V22.1.

    I briefly see a page that includes "Search options", but the page immediately shuts down and becomes unavailable.

    I tried this with multiple computers and browsers. 

    Could you help with this?
