How can I create a cost pool grouping when I am in the line item view?  I could create a custom dimension but since we have already mapped the data via the chart of account reference data, I figured there was a better approach.

There is an out of the box dimension in service costing.

1) Open the service costing perspective.

2) expand the 'Cost Source' group

you should see a 'Cost Pool' published field. Just drag it into your query.

My question is targeted to the Vanguard ITP module.  I thought this page was specific to ITP so I did not list module.

So, how do you suggest I get cost pool view of the line items within an ITP project?

Hi JJ,

The current version of ITPF does not have Cost Pool as an available dimension in the Line Items view. This will be discussed as a future enhancement.

In the interim, you could export the line items to Excel which includes the Cost Pool field or you can publish the plan to Cost Transparency and view the line item Cost Pools there.
