Hello, I am trying to activate a new SPSS license with my university and I have a question. I completed a large data analysis project using SPSS at another institution and I am working on some extra data analysis using that data. I have since graduated and moved to a new university and I'm hoping to continue the data analysis using a license at my new institution, as I no longer have access through my old institution. My new university tech support told me that I need to delete and re-download SPSS from their university website for the authentication process to work with the license they gave me, but I am afraid of deleting all my data, syntax, and output files that I used at my previous institution when I delete SPSS. Does anyone know if I delete and redownload SPSS (version 29), if (a) the .sav, .sps, and .spv files wil stay on my computer, and (b) if those files will be usable with the new license under my new university?
Thanks!
