    Have you established a data server connection between AWS Athena and Cognos? If so, could you please let me know how? 

    Did you download the Athena JDBC JAR file and copy it to a directory accessible by your Cognos environment?

    Could you tell me how you generated the JDBC URL? I know the region and the S3 location; is that enough to establish the connection?
