  • 1.  Cognos Analytics cloud Data Connection error with Amazon Athena

    Hi,
    I am trying to connect Amazon Athena tables in Cognos Analytics cloud 11.2. Connection test shows success, but when we browse 'schema' it throws an error. help in this regards is greatly appreciated.

    Error
    MSR_GEN_0097 Error while getting catalogs and schemas for: "awsathenahes". Unable to connect to the data source. "[Simba][AthenaJDBC](100211) Missing credentials error: Either UID/PWD or AwsCredentialsProviderClass must be provided."

    Hi, just a guess .. but try adding your credentials as a saved signon (then "use the following sign on" rather then the "prompt for user and pass" ..).
