    Hi,

    Does anyone know about roadmap of new versions and features of Cognos?

    I noticed that after some people left IBM - like Jason Tavoularis - , nobody talks about new versions anymore.

    Hi Zach,

    can you please let me know where to find the "public facing roadmap page"? So far I was not aware there even is one.

    I am trying to keep up to date with Cognos news for several years now but it's very hard as support portals, blogs, communities are always elvolving and usually when I go back to a place where I found an information once, it does not exist anymore.

    I have subscribed to everything I can get from IBM My Notifications. So ideally any relevant news on the product should be included there as well.

    Is there any information about the new features of Cognos 11.2.2 ?  I'm about to upgrade to 11.2.1 and I would like to know if it's worth to delay the project 2 weeks and upgrade to 11.2.2 . 
    Given 11.2.2 release is coming in a week's time it would be useful for current customers to have some informaiton about the main features of the new version.

    I'm also curious for everyone on this thread - @Ralf Roeber, @Jeremy Aude, @Jeam Coelho and @Patrick Neveu where you most often look for news/updates about Cognos Analytics? We do a variety of webinars and announcements in various places, and I'd like to know which channels you use most.

    This site is usually the first place I go to see what's new. The monthly newsletter is also great! 

    I don't always have time to watch a webinar. I want to have one place to go with universal search where I can see things like accelerators, RFE, what's new and in pipeline, webinars.

    Right now things are too disconnected to find easily.

    Hi Zach,

    I start with this community, then I go to partnerworld where it is difficult to find relevant information about current versions.

    I listen to the webinar (Ask me...) since I can't watch something with no video. The last one was a little bit disappointing: no real updates about what is coming in v11.2.2 that is expected by the end of the month and something else I can not really describe.

    Last, I also receive alerts from IBM My Notifications, very useful information from IBM Support.

    Hey Zach,

    I think the announcement is on an internal link - I'm getting a DNS_PROBE_FINISHED_NXDOMAIN error trying to access it. 

    The sorting in the meta data tree is really nice! Glad you added that in. Can you also add in my magic sort? - Basically sorting on Usage Type? I've found that sorting by label isn't as useful as sorting on the usage type.

    Essentially the public version of magic sort is:
    Folders
    Filters
    Identifiers
    Attributes
    Facts
    Anything else

    In the newer version of the sort I was also planning on adding awareness of data item taxonomy. So month will always sort below Year but above Week. If you can add that in instead my life would be so much easier.
