There are lots of parameters, and no good way to anticipate which, if any, will help. I suggest that you export a small instance of the model to a .lp file and use the tuning feature of the CPLEX interactive optimizer to find good settings.

Sometimes it helps to glance at the logfile. Can you post the first and last 100 lines of the engine log here? If you are lucky we can see something obvious.
