Hello TBM Community!

I was asked by a colleague if Apptio has the capability to automatically generate a PDF and email it to a specified person on a schedule.  I know that it is possible to save reports as PDF's, but am unsure if there is a scheduling capability that automatically generates and emails reports.  To be specific, I know that he wants the IT Management > Projects > Labor Analysis tab.

Any insight is greatly appreciated!

Scheduling PDF exports is not currently an option within Apptio, but I forwarded your note to our engineering team for consideration in a future software release. Thank you for the suggestion.

Not yet, but it's issue code BIIT-79729 for future reference.

The issue codes are often specifically called out in the R12.x release notes.

Not yet available within R12.

A workaround if needed though: the Apptio API (or a Datalink connector of type "Apptio") can retrieve R12 report results. Then after the file(s) are downloaded, a custom script could be written to email the results to one or more users.

This will resolve many issues on data export or data pull out from Apptio .. I believe it's not about PDF .. in general there is no option to schedule and deliver reports using Apptio.
