  • 1.  APIC v5 upgrade to v10

    We're running APIC v5 with Datapower v2018 firmware.
    We plan to upgrade APIC to v10. 
    We will setup a parallel APIC v10 environment and reuse the existing Datapower for the upgrade.

    I read in the upgrade documentation that APICv10 can only work with Datapower Gateway v10 firmware.
    If we upgrade Datapower firmware to v10, will it work with our existing APIC v5 setup.

    We need to minimize the downtime for our APIC v5.

    Yes APIC v5 will work with Datapower v10 - if you want confirmation you can check the software requirements page here:

    (Enter "ibm api connect" as the product and then select API Connect Enterprise from the drop down)
    I assume you will be moving to APIC 10.0.1.x (the Long term support release) in which case that is the version of Datapower firmware you should use.

    10.0.3 and 10.0.4 are CD releases and so only supported for 6-9 months so not recommended for production usage (10.0.2 has already had support withdrawn).
