  • 1.  ACS - font size origin, font much larger

    Posted 20 days ago

    Hello,

As per the screenshot. Anyone also having such visual discrepancies time to time? I have no idea what can cause this besides that sometimes it happens when I connect one or two external monitors. ACS is the only application that messes up the font size but it functions as usual. It does not always happen. I was not able to find any property relevant to a font size or scaling but since I have been experiencing this since a few versions back, I just forced myself to ask the community and was just curious if some of you experienced similar behavior and was able to prevent it. Thanks!

This is a Java scaling issue which I sometimes experience with RDi as well.

Following is IBM's suggestion to solve it (method 1 worked for me)...

    Method 1:

    1. close RDI,
    2. right click on RDI icon,
    3. select properties,
    4. select compatibility,
    5. check "DPI scaling" option,
    6. select "System (extended)",
    7. start RDI and it should appear normal.

    Method 2:

    1. close RDi,
    2. set the external display as the Main display,
    3. start RDi,
    4. text and controls should not appear normally on the external display.

Thank you very much! As I'm running a portable ACS from my cloud storage I had to adjust the javaw.exe binary in the Semeru directory - and it works flawlessly so far!

    Again many thanks
