  • 1.  ACS Play Macro box size issue

    Posted 22 days ago

In ACS, some of our users get a full sized Play Macro list, and some get a short version where they can only see one line at a time. The Play Macro box cannot be resized. We have dozens of macros, so sorting through them using the short version can be maddening.

We've seen the short list on ACS versions between 1.1.9.1 ranging up to 1.1.9.8, and with Java versions anywhere between 1.8.0_401 up to 1.8.0_441. There is no obvious common caase triggering which users get the full list and which users get the short list. Has anybody else experienced this issue?

Full Sized: (Sorry for so much blackout)

    Dear Greg

How did you identify JDK version ACS is using?  Did you use the menu Help --> About from ACS main GUI window?

From your post, I guess you use JDK from Oracle in iMac PCs.  Why not try changing one or two PCs with a few other brands of JDK (such as IBM Semeru) to see if the issue goes away or not.

You are spot on, we are using java from Oracle.  I'll ask our IT to try Semeru on the affected users and see what happens.  Thanks for the suggestion!
