Ted Fay - Principal Product Manager, IBM Cloud Object StorageTed Fay is a principal product manager with IBM Cloud Object Storage, with a deep history in deploying storage solutions both as an end-customer and as an architect. As CTO of VisionArt, Ted helped lead the Oscar and Emmy-winning visual effects team responsible for Independence Day, Godzilla, Dr. Dolittle, and other high-profile film and television projects and was an early adopter of high-performance storage networks. Ted architected SAN-based digital workflows for LucasFilm, Sony, Microsoft, NASA, and others before eventually joining IBM in 2007. At IBM, Ted led the development of automated storage tiering, reducing storage costs and associated carbon footprint by 70% on over $20 billion in storage deployments worldwide. Ted served as chief architect for two deployments for a Fortune 5 global mobile device manufacturer, designing, building, and running geo-dispersed Exabyte scale Cloud Object Storage services, still used by hundreds of millions of users daily.Jordan Freedman - Product Manager, IBM Cloud Object StorageJordan Freedman is a Product Manager for Cloud Object Storage with IBM Cloud. Jordan is responsible for managing the vision and roadmap for using COS with other cloud platform services, using COS as a data lake, and using COS as a disaster recovery target. Jordan also consults with top Fortune 100 clients and internal stakeholders to gather requirements and turn these into a set of prioritized features based on key metrics that reflect market opportunity. Jordan has developed and managed several strategic partnerships to grow new market segments directly, resulting in qualified leads and new customer revenue.
