    Hi all,

    I'm using the IBM Academic Initiative and, under that initiative, I've got a promo code that supposes to facilitate the access to additional resources in IBM Cloud. I'm getting from the beginning an error saying that cannot be applied and try later (since one month ago)

    Does anyone have the same issue and can help me?. I've opened a support ticket in IBM Cloud and the answer is that they don't support that initiative. (According th the FAQs anyone does).

    Thanks in advance for any idea.

    I too am facing the same issue. Actually my IBM cloud account got cancelled, so when I tried apply a promo code to reactivate it, it would show the following error: Server error. Try again or contact IBM Cloud Support. I looked up on the IBM academic initiative website FAQs for the same and it said that one must raise a support ticket in order to get it reactivated in this case.
    So when I go to IBM cloud support page to raise ticket, a window pops up asking me to fill billing information (and is not optional), which I don't need to as I am a student.
    So all in all I am unable to even raise a ticket. Can you tell me how you raised the ticket with a lite account? Also did you find the solution to the main issue ?

    Yes, I could open a ticket and got and answer but that was the only success I got. The answer from IBM Support is that they do not support the IBM Academic Initiative. They didn't consider, at any moment, the option that the problem were beyond the Academic Initiative and were from IBM Cloud.

    Once I let you know the result I've to tell you too that I've been using a lot of services from the IBM Cloud thanks to the Lite account without any issue. It's true that I don't know what I'm missing because i never was able to apply the promo Code... however the services I've been used are, at the moment, enough.

    I think we didn't follow up on what they wanted. If you give the right things to them , I think it's a technical problem.
