I don't know the current availability of this package, but I want to alert you to the free STATS TEXTANALYSIS extension command, which can be installed via Extensions > Extension Hub if you don't already have it. It provides a number of facilities for working with short text data, including word and ...

CTABLES is part of the Standard Edition of SPSS. There is a Base version that is cheaper, but it might be worth considering moving up to the Standard Edition if you use Statostics a lot.

Regarding V30, it is true that the initial V30 release had a serious problem with character encoding, but the V30 release was fixed and reposted within a few days, so there should be no problem with it now. ------------------------------ Jon Peck Data Scientist JKP Associates Santa Fe ------------ ...

I am not sure where the duplicate error is coming from. here are several output options. The ID or IDs of matching cases are appended to the demander dataset variables. The number of variables listed as NEWDEMANDERIDVARS determines how many matches are attempted. These variables must not already exist ...

You can use the RND function with COMPUTE to round the values to any desired number of decimal places. You could, alternatively, use TRUNC. -- Jon K Peck jkpeck@gmail.com

There is a way to do this. You can use OMS (the Output Management System) to suppress various output types from the Viewer. For example, OMS /SELECT HEADINGS /DESTINATION VIEWER=NO. From then on until you run OMSEND. the headings will all be suppressed. If you are already using OMS for other purposes ...

I am not sure which titles you are referring to. The title that is actually within the pivot table, which might be a variable name or label or a term like "Statistics" is important and one would rarely if ever want to hide that, so I presume that you are referring to the Title element produced by some ...

The tables in the email are too small for me to read, but there are six different count statistics, ignoring the mult response statistics.[COUNT UCOUNT ECOUNT VALIDN EVALIDN UVALIDN] Which are you using? (If in doubt, put them all in and see if any give the result you expect). You can write the list ...

Once you have filled out the dialog fields, you should press OK to run the command. Continue just takes you back to the main dialog. If OK and Paste are disabled, there is a required field that is not filled in. Usually it is the new variable name if you are using Recode into Different (which is the ...

That's not quite right, but a better solution would be SPSSINC CENSOR TABLES (Utilities > Censor Table) if you have the cell count in the table. You give it the censoring criterion row or column, the test value, the type of test (<), and the rows or columns to censor.relative to the censoring criterion ...

Do you mean to omit particular cells from the proportion or means tests? There is no way to do that, and if you could, it would bias the results as the test sample input to the test would depend on the cells being tested. If you mean to suppress the test results for the whole table, that could be done ...
