IBM Champions in action

Hi everyone,

Here we are again, two weeks since the last IBM Champions in action post, and IBM Champions and IBM Rising Champions have been working hard promoting their work and IBM technologies. As the summer months progress (winter in the Southern hemisphere), our wonderful advocates haven’t skipped a beat creating and managing user groups, speaking at conferences, reviewing new IBM technologies, contributing to IBM research, and dedicating themselves to mentoring and coaching other professionals.

Our very own, Libby Ingrassia and Namitha K co-hosted an IBM Champion and Advocates Meetup in Mumbai on July 12. This fantastic event demonstrated the incredible enthusiasm and dedication of our advocates in the region. Make sure you check out the great day on the post.

Are you interested in becoming an IBM Champion? There are two ways to work towards becoming an IBM Champion:
1) If you are just starting out, you can apply to the IBM Rising Champions Advocacy Badge program today. Make sure you are ready to apply with a minimum of two acts of advocacy (as listed in the criteria) to start with your first badge (IBM Contributor), and then add more acts of advocacy as you work towards higher badges.

2) Watch for the IBM Champions nominations to open in September 2024 and get ready to nominate yourself when the process opens. Make sure you have a substantial number of activities that meet the program’s criteria, so that you’re ready for a complete nomination.

Now check out some of the great work the IBM Champions have been doing!
