Self-Service Analytics Offload in API Connect 10.0.8.1

With the release of API Connect version 10.0.8.1, customers can now configure analytics offloads directly from the Cloud Admin Dashboard—no need to raise a support ticket. This new self-service capability simplifies and accelerates how analytics data is offloaded, offering greater flexibility and control.

Key Highlights

  • Users can now configure up to two analytics offloads.
  • Supported offload types include:
    • Kafka offloads
    • HTTP offloads
  • Offloads can be scoped to specific provider organizations (pOrgs).
  • You can also choose the specific API event fields you want to offload.

    Kafka Offloads

Setting up a Kafka offload is straightforward. You’ll need to provide:

    • Topic Name
    • Bootstrap URLs
    • SASL Mechanism for authentication
    • Username and Password credentials

This configuration enables secure, scalable offloading of analytics events to your Kafka infrastructure.

    HTTP Offloads

HTTP offloads offer even more flexibility, with support for multiple authentication and authorization mechanisms.

    Supported Authentication Methods:

Note: Except for keystore/truststore-based authentication, you can optionally configure an SSL Certificate Authority (CA) to validate the server’s certificate.

To configure an HTTP offload, you’ll need:

    • Target URL
    • Optional HTTP headers
    • Chosen authentication method

      Special Use Case: Noname Offload

A Noname offload can also be configured using the HTTP offload setup. Simply provide:

      • The engine URL
      • Key and Index attributes as part of the additional headers

This allows you to integrate seamlessly with Noname's engine for advanced security and analytics use cases.
