Our thoughts are with you all as we collectively push forward through these strange and trying times. As some people during this time are left feeling isolated and wondering what to do, we wanted to share some updates from around IBM on the process of tracking and defeating the virus, ideas about how to keep learning during this time, and how you yourself can contribute to the battle against COVID-19.

Summit Supercomputer Research
The US Department of Energy has summoned the world's most powerful supercomputer, IBM's Summit, into the fight against COVID-19. In a day or two - what would have typically taken months - researchers were able to simulate 8,000 compounds in a matter of days to model which could impact that infection process by binding to the virus’s spike, and have identified 77 small-molecule compounds, such as medications and natural compounds, that have shown the potential to impair COVID-19’s ability to dock with and infect host cells. Northwell Health on the IBM Blockchain
Northwell Health, the largest health group in New York State, joined the IBM Blockchain to help the state handle the COVID-19 crisis. The Rapid Supplier Connect blockchain network will save Northwell from the headache of trying to vet suppliers when this crisis requires them to act quickly. Read more on Forbes.com.

When do you think this quarantine will end? I see that in Germany from mid-May life will begin to return to normal? Give forecasts for other countries as well.
