Be part of what’s next: IBM webMethods Hybrid Integration

By Irina Oprea posted Tue May 06, 2025 05:00 AM

For over a decade, IBM has delivered enterprise-grade API management solutions that support businesses in driving digital innovation. Our tools facilitate secure connection of applications and data across diverse environments – cloud, on-premises, and everything in between.

In 2024, the acquisition of webMethods expanded our integration capabilities even further, enabling more seamless experiences across hybrid infrastructures. Since then, we’ve been working toward a shared vision: a unified integration platform that addresses real-world challenges while boosting the productivity of teams tasked with building and managing integrations.

Today we’re excited to announce the launch of IBM webMethods Hybrid Integration. Its broad set of capabilities enable customers to build hybrid multi-pattern integration solutions. These capabilities include: Application Integration, API Management, B2B Integration, Managed File Transfer (MFT) and Event Endpoint Management.

IBM webMethods Hybrid Integration is built to support swift operations in distributed environments by offering shared tools and resources, along with centralized control through a hybrid control plane. It simplifies complex tasks and accelerates troubleshooting, easing the burden on overwhelmed IT teams.

Among the several capabilities within the hybrid control plane, the Federated API management enables API runtimes from multiple vendors to be managed from a single pane of glass. IBM webMethods Hybrid Integration natively supports API Connect API Gateway (based on virtual DataPower), webMethods API Gateway, webMethods Developer Portal, AWS gateway and Azure Gateway.
