In this session, we will demonstrate how to perform web-based authentication on z/OS by leveraging the RACF node module. Phoenix Software will be joining us to share their success with Node.js on z/OS as the key technology enabling legacy back-office code as cross-platform secure web services, with minimum effort. The discussion will also show how to launch a Node.js web client on z/OS as a started task; how to provide a persistent TSO address space from Node.js for efficiently running REXX; and describe cross-platform Unicode considerations.
