What's New: IBM Cloud Pak for Business Automation as a Service - July 2022 update

We are pleased to announce some exciting enhancements for the IBM Cloud Pak for Business Automation as a Service July 2022 update.
This announcement highlights customer-driven enhancements as well as security and compliance updates:
 
  • Direct link - this option provides a high-bandwidth connection from your on premises data center, providing enhanced performance and consistency of response times.  This capability is available for Business Automation Workflow on Cloud, Business Automation Content Services on Cloud, and Business Automation Content Analyzer.  Contact your sales representative for more information.
  • Premium Disaster Recovery option - this option provides a reduced Recovery Time Objective ("RTO").  The default RTO is four hours - with this option, the RTO is reduced to two hours.  This is accomplished by pre-provisioning your applications in the disaster recovery data center.  Pricing will vary, depending upon application details.  This currently applies to Business Automation Content Services on Cloud customers only, but we're exploring options to provide this for other capabilities in the future.
  • Automated security updates to worker nodes - improves security by automatically and seamlessly updating the worker nodes without impact to running applications.
  • We've refreshed Cloud Pak for Business Automation as a Service to use the latest capabilities from the Cloud Pak via the 2022.0.1 containers, providing you with all the latest enhancements and updates.
  • Completed proof points regarding very high sustained rates of ingestion of documents into Business Automation Content Services on Cloud.  These tests ensure that our services scale to meet and exceed the highest workloads for your enterprise.
