Since JRules 7.1 was released 10 years ago, IBM Operational Decision Manager has
continuously
evolved to support businesses becoming more responsive, more efficient, and more transparent in their decision making.
A lot of new capabilities have enhanced
the
ODM experience for Lines of Business, developers, architects and adm
i
nistrators, across all phases of decision automation projects - from design to governance to deployment.
Here are the top 5 enhancements you would not want to miss:
Enhance governance for business users in the Business console, while gaining better control of your deployments, with
decision service projects
.
Improve runtime performance with the
decision engine
.
Integrate and automate
many common activities
with Decision Center and execution
REST APIs
.
Deploy ODM anywhere, including on
CNCF-certified Kubernetes environments
.
Leverage ODM as part of
IBM Cloud Pak for Automation
: invoke decision services from low-code apps and workflows, and monitor business outcomes and decision execution in Business Automation Insights.
Ready to upgrade?
If you're on ODM 8.9 and have no customizations,
check out the documentation
and follow the steps.
If you have large, complex, customized projects, on versions prior to 8.9,
run the transformation advisor.
Engage with your account representation or IBM services for advice.
If you need to renew your S&S and want to hand over the management of your infrastructure to IBM, consider an
upgrade to ODM on Cloud.
