Hello, I have IBM Maximo Mobile for EAM installed on an Android device and I need to configure it to connect to a server with Maximo 22.214.171.124 deployed with Maximo Mobile 8.9 through Forticlient VPN.
After the URL is entered, the application shows a blank screen in a waiting state although I can connect to the server from the mobile's chrome/firefox browsers.
Any suggestion or idea is welcome.
Have You installed CA certificate?
Strange. I don't remember, that there was some specific port used by mobile app. I think, we opened in our company only 80 and 443, the same which are needed for browser connection.
Can you open from browser those mobile like applications? I mean, are You sure, that mobile is configured properly on server side?
As Juris mentions, Maximo Mobile connects to the Maximo system using the same port as the web application and there is no special configuration on the Maximo side to use it. Some customers VPNs are configured as app specific and may need to be adjusted to enable our application to use the VPN. You would need to work with the team managing the VPN to review and adjust it.
