This blog will walk you through the steps to get accurate current device location (latitude, longitude) with Maximo Mobile. Location will be saved for technician workorder , approvals, service request app. Location details will be captured under the service address tab in Maximo Manage.

System property need to set in Maximo Manage :

"mxe.mobile.travel.prompt" should be enabled

For capture location in Android Emulator, "maximo.mobile.gpsspoofing.android.emulator" should be enabled

Lets open Maximo Mobile application and navigate to technician Work Order details page and click on Device location icon then "Device Location Saved" notification displayed.

Lets go back to Maximo Manage under Work order tracking, find above work order and check service address tab having "Address Information" contains current location latitude(Y), longitude(X) value saved in Maximo Application.

Similarly, Device location details are captured from Service Request , Approval App from Maximo Mobile.
