  • 1.  Anywhere 7.6.4 Device Compatibility

    Hello,

We have brand new Honeywell Dolphin CN80 devices to use in warehouses that we are trying to setup IBM Cycle Counts 7.6.4 on. Those devices came with Android 7 pre-installed. We could download the Cycle Counts app from the Play Store and proceed to install them at this version but given that Anywhere 7.6.4 requires Android to be at version 8, 9 or 10, the app wouldn't work correctly.

We upgraded two of those devices to Android 8 and 9 respectively, following Honeywell upgrade procedures.
Now we can no longer find the IBM Cycle Counts app on the Play Store. It seems that the application is not compatible when we access the app Play Store page (see embedded screenshot).

It seems that there are restrictions applied at the device level that make the app unavailable for our devices in the Play Store search results.

Can somebody help me shed some light on this problem please?

    Thanks!

    Hi,
try clearing the Google Play Store cache, and then data.
Then restart the Google Play Store and try installing the app again.

    Hi Diego,

We tried that but to no avail. We also had problems installing the build generated from the Application Container, getting "couldn't find index.html file" error at app startup. The same app could be started normally from an Android 9 smartphone. We were told by Honeywell that they are working on fixes for their Android 9 image...
    We're still working on it.

    Thanks!

Okay, so it seems to be related to the installed Android image.
If so, please let us know when it will be fixed.
