Why this doubt? Maximo supports SQLServer and the new Anywhere architecture is built on its standard REST services. Therefore I don't see any technical obstacles. Somewhere or someone says no?

    Good afternoon Diego,

I just want to verify that with Maximo Anywhere 7.6.4 Microsoft SQL Server is supported. We are currently doing a 7.6.3 and needed to stand up an Oracle DB for this but would prefer that it sits on a SQL Server. Sorry I mistakenly assumed that anywhere still required its own DB but it doesn't look to be the case.

    Hi Ryan ,
    i
t's a new stuff for everyone and my reply was only based on quick reading of the documentation and on my knowledge/understanding of the adopted technologies.
I hope to try it out in the coming weeks, especially on our custom apps.

The architecture is that Maximo Anywhere is put into Maximo's database, so the answer is.. of course, SQL Server is okay.  There is no longer a separate database required.  Plus I like the fact that it's one less server.
