At the beginning of 2017, several community members told us that their 2017 Apptio Goals  related to refining reports and making reports easier for people outside of the TBMO to consume.

@Chris Davidson  on the Apptio Premier Success team, has extensive experience in data visualization and report layout/design. On March 3, 2017 he hosted our first Community webinar to help community members identify and prioritize visual and functional improvements to their Apptio reports.

During the session, Chris described how to:

• Boost the user experience (UX)
• Apply document design principles to Apptio report layouts
• Use reports to tell a story about results
• Identify which chart types to use and when
• Simplify the drill-down hierarchy
