  • 1.  Do you use multi-year plans?

    Posted 07/30/19 06:55 PM

If you use multi-year plans and currently try to compare them, I would like to get some feedback (thank you to those that I already spoke or emailed with directly).

We are improving comparisons of multi-year plans. The initial improvement centers around offset-type comparisons. For you multi-year plan users, would you find the below offset comparison capability beneficial? Is there another type of multi-year comparison you would prefer over the below? Any other feedback is helpful as well. Thanks!

@Stephen Zeronian-Dalley - Do Thames Water have this use case?

@Duncan Cousins They have been talking about it but have done nothing yet. They do a rolling forecast which spans years but it doesn't fit this use case.

I think this is very beneficial. Just a quick question, what if we have different reference data points to older years compared to future years? What level of granularity are we comparing? can we do Cost Pool or Account?

    Thanks

    Hello Allen,

Yes we need to be able to compare correctly two plan (Forecast and Budget). I already create a ticket for this (ref: 00173399) as it seems not working well till now.

On our side the comparison was on a Plan of type Budget having years 2020/2021/2022 with a plan Forecast having years 2019/2020/2021 for the year 2020.  If you do this currently you have a strange Waterfall having the year 2019 on the left and 2020 on the right  which is not normal.
