I want to migrate the ITM TEMS DB between different operating systems. Is there any way to do this?

Can I migrate by copying the directories and files under /opt/IBM/ITM/tables?

The source OS is Aix and the character code is S-JIS. The destination OS is RedHat and the character code is UTF-8.

Please teach me.

Hi Ken,

I suggest you start looking here:
https://www.ibm.com/support/pages/example-itm-teps-and-itm-hub-migration-new-hardware-server

This will make that the migration is transparent, and does not care about the difference in OS or codepage.

Thanks. I understand.

How do I migrate my custom groups(situation , deploy etc..)?

Good morning, you cannot just copy the files, you must export and import the situations, dashboard, users, copying the folders does not work, use the commands to export and import

Regards!

Thanks. I understand that copying the files is NG.

There are some export* options to tacmd:

tacmd bulkexportpcy
tacmd bulkexportsit
tacmd exportBundles
tacmd exportcalendarentries
tacmd exportnavigator
tacmd exportqueries
tacmd exportsitassociations
tacmd exportsysassignments
tacmd exportworkspaces

There's no option to export the deployments, but i don't see why you would want to do that.

In the ITM manual there is the tacmd command and there are the procedures for exporting and importing situation, workspace, etc.
