  • 1.  Watson AIOps Hardware requirements for a small environment for study and POCs purpose

    Hi,

We are looking to implement a Watson AIOps infrastructure for studies and for carrying out Proofs of Concept.

We want to use a Private Cloud for this using OpenShift.

What should be the OpenShift infrastructure that meets this objective?

We want to start with the EventManager and Topology Manager functionality but the infrastructure must be designed to support all the Watson AIOps functionality.

Could you please suggest me an example of a hardware configuration that meets these goals?

Thanks in advance for any help

    Best Regards,

    Antônio Gadelha

    Hi Antonio

This is probably a good starting point

    I appreciate the information.

It will make it easier for me to define the hardware and what needs to be done to implement a self-study environment.

    Thanks for your help

    Hi Antonio,

For Event Manager, I highly recommend to test a hybrid deployment for Event Manager (NOI Hybrid) since for some customers a full OCP deployment is too much. For customer where sizing is a issue or concern Hybrid is a good option (at least just for Event Manager).

    Hi Antonio

The results of analytics - any analytics, are highly dependent on the quality of the data being analysed.

In the case of EventManager - the values stored against the Identifier column are very important.

I have tooling that can help determine the suitability of the event data as well as save out any 'dubious' data for triage / remediation

DM me if you like to investigate this option
