When doing an update from an older version of Omnibus on Windows to the latest FixPack 30, I today ran into the very odd situation that to Omnibus DLLs were held open and locked by the DHCP Client.
The Installer failed to delete catDaemon.dll, and when trying to delte it directly in Windows, I got a WIndows message
"the action cannot be completed because the file is open in DHCP Client"
Thsi doesn't make any sense and I didn't find any reason for the DHCP client to hold these files.
Stopping the DHCP client is not an option, as many other services depend on it. I also checked %PATH%, but the Netcool directories are last in the sequence.
