  • 1.  Turbonomic Deployment Error

    Posted Mon July 03, 2023 09:34 AM

    Hello Experts,

We have recently deployed Turbonomic, and although all the pods are running, we are experiencing frequent restarts followed by crash loop backups.

    Turbonomic console is not accessible.

Upon checking the logs, we have identified the following errors:

    Errors:

    • /entrypoint.sh: line 11: /dev/tcp/rsyslog/2514: Invalid argument
    • Waiting for rsyslog to accept connections
    • /entrypoint.sh: line 11: rsyslog: Name or service not known
    • /entrypoint.sh: line 11: /dev/tcp/rsyslog/2514: Invalid argument
    • Waiting for rsyslog to accept connections

We are seeking assistance in resolving this issue. Any guidance or suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

    Thank you.

If rsyslog is not started other pods will not start or fail to become ready and running 1/1, as all pods in Turbonomic write their logs to rsyslog to centralized logging.  Please confirm you have the PVC's created for the rsyslog at least as that is required for rsyslog pod to start up.  Best to log a support ticket with IBM support to have them help you troubleshoot your issue directly, you can open a support ticket by going to the IBM support site here: http://support.ibm.com/
