  • 1.  NetCool/OMNIbus Reporting?

    I’m currently trying to figure out how to generate historical reporting for Alerts Journal for all user-initiated actions across different events? Does anyone know how to do this? Thanks in advance!

    Hi Amanda,

    reporting on the Journals itself is tricky, because it usually only has free text. You could either send the journal data to a log analysis tool (IBM's IT Operations Log Analysis comes free with NOI) or you could add action fields to the alerts.status which are set by the tools used by operators. Then you have structured data that you could report on with Tivoli Common Reporting (TCR). (You'll have to modify the existing report templates to report on those fields.)

    Netcool is spelled with a lower case "c"
