Hello Szymon,
Your fundamental approach would be – first, you must be on FixPack#11 – which is where RHEL#8 support was added in ITNM.
Here is what I would suggest:
- Upgrade your current version of ITNM to FixPack#11 at minimum. If you are already at this or higher level – then move onto step#2.
- Stop all ITNM processes to avoid data corruption.
- Upgrade OS from RH#7 to RH#8
- Restart ITNM and ensure all is functional and intact.
- If all is good, you should then upgrade to latest Fixpack which also requires Python3.
Your best reference on Operation System compatibility during upgrade is Product docs, where it talks about when the support was added etc.
Also, here is a good reference, for the Build Vs FixPack information.
If you require further assistance, I would suggest you raise Support ticket to handhold your upgrade journey.
Best Regards,
Krishna.

Subject: ITNM migration from RHEL7 to 8
Hi,
I have a on-premise installation if ITNM (core) running on RHEL7. FP17 requires Python3 and therefore upgrading OS too, it is also reaching EOS. Has anyone tried and can share some hints on upgrading RHEL using Leapp?
Regards,
Szymon
