How to suppress the downstream alert if entire site goes down

  • 1.  How to suppress the downstream alert if entire site goes down

We are enabled device down monitoring in Sevone . Recently we have seen a site with 100 device went down , Sevone triggered 100 device down alerts.

Do we have any mechanisms to correlate these alarms and suppress the Downstream device alarms and create only single alarm stating that the Site is down. ?

    Hi Akhil

this is something that we can do with the new module for SevOne called RNA (Rapid Network Automation). Please have a look at this lab where we show one way of suppressing alerts using RNA https://ibm.github.io/software-networking-pot/docs/IBM%20SevOne%20Automated%20Network%20Observability/RNA%20Labs/alertsup

If you are interested in upgrading to this new offering called SANO (SANO =  SevOne + RNA), please talk to your sales representative.
