Nothing will automatically do this for you. You're going to have to code something to modify the device mapping.
I would recommend that you do it as part of the request/assignment of the rotating asset as part of the fulfillment of the request. With most APM systems, this information can be updated via a REST (or similar) API call, which you can easily do from Maximo.
The system needs to have some kind of mapping between what is monitored and the real world (or your business applications).
If you provide details of your use case, you might get some more concrete suggestions.

Subject: APM - Monitoring Rotating Asset
Hello Experts,
What is the best way to monitor the rotating asset in APM ? Since IoT sensors are typically mapped to specific assets and When an asset is moved, we have to modify the device mapping everytime, which can be a challenge from a business perspective.
If sensors are location-based, then may not be needed.
