If you are wondering how to change the ITCAM Extended Agent for Oracle Database (product code: rz) clustering and positioning in the TEP navigator, this blog will give you the steps on how this can be done.
Step 1) Change the agent configuration environment variable "CTIRA_HOSTNAME" to provide an alternate hostname qualifier.
a) Open the agent configuration file.
On Windows systems, the file path is
For already configured agent instance,
b) Modify the environment variable
CTIRA_HOSTNAME=
For example,
CTIRA_HOSTNAME='CHN'
c) Restart the agent.
Step 2) Set the TEPS configuration environment variable "KFW_TOPOLOGY_CLUSTER_LIST" to change the Physical Navigation to depend on CTIRA_HOSTNAME.
a) Open TEPS configuration file
On Windows systems, the file path is
b) Add the environment variable "KFW_TOPOLOGY_CLUSTER_LIST", and add the dynamic affinity of ITCAM Extended Agent for Oracle Database as the value.
KFW_TOPOLOGY_CLUSTER_LIST=%IBM.OracleAgents %IBM.OracleAgentRDB %IBM.OracleAgentASM %IBM.OracleAgentDG
Note: all in one line.
c) Restart the TEPS.
Step 3) Check TEP navigator, CTIRA_HOSTNAME takes effect. Take CHN as example (marked in red box).
Note: ITM 6.22 FP4 has APAR about KFW_TOPOLOGY_CLUSTER_LIST, pls refer to ITM APAR description:
