If you encounter licensing errors while installing RPT for use with ITCAM for Transactions, these tips resolve the problems.
Upon running launchpad.exe if you encounter this error it is because the install cannot find the ..\disk1\ directory. Place this directory parallel to the RPT_SETUP directory and try again.
After downloading and unpacking the images for the RPT install you should have two directories. For example, I have put mine into the RPT9 directory.
When you choose what to install, do not install the license administrator. We'll take care of licensing later. Choose only the RPT install.
You still see warnings about the license, just ignore them for now.
Accept the terms and move on.
The install is now looking for the CORE files, which are in disk1 directory. Click Install and fill in the location on the next screen.
Here are the details:
Fill in the information about where disk1 resides and you're almost done with RPT install.
You're at the end when you see the Finish. When this is complete, don't open RPT, you still need to install the Rational Integration Support.
Check to make sure you have the correct version of the Rational Integration Support, look here for the latest fix pack that includes the package.
