Linux Based Deployment Option
To give our clients greater flexibility of deployment architectures, we are releasing a Linux-based deployment option in version 4.6. While containerized enterprise software is rapidly growing, there are still many organizations that prefer to run software via more tradition architectures, and we want to make sure they can also realize the immense operational value of Cloud Pak for AIOps.
Existing and new customers can begin to take advantage of this additional deployment option immediately. In addition to deploying on OpenShift Container Platform, we are excited to offer this Linux-based deployment as another option so you can deploy the Cloud Pak for AIOps the way that is right for you.
Incremental Installation
While Cloud Pak for AIOps offers many advanced analytics out of the box, we want to make sure that our clients only have to utilize the footprint they need for the workloads they plan to run. In version 4.6 we are introducing an incremental installation option. Now, you will no longer need to install the entirety of our solution if you only plan on utilizing event processing, correlation, topology, and performance metrics, which covers many event and incident management use cases. When clients are ready to take advantage of log analytics, similar incident capabilities, and natural language processing they can install those features later.
This gives IT Ops teams flexibility in installation, helping them optimize footprint, lower total cost of ownership, and add further efficiency to our set of tools in Cloud Pak for AIOps.
Custom Dashboarding
Cloud Pak for AIOps now ships with Cognos to support custom dashboarding! Use the data within Cloud Pak for AIOps combined with Cognos to create custom views on your environment and IT Operations. Many Ops teams have multiple stakeholders they interact with that need a slightly different view of the data that lives within Cloud Pak for AIOps. With Cognos, you can now create these custom dashboards to report the way that works best for your organization.
