    Hello,
I am a graduate student in the master's program. I

am currently using SPSS 28, but I'm unable to conduct my research without it. When will it be available for use?

At this time there are no plans to backport support for macOS 14.0 (Sonoma) to versions of IBM SPSS Statistics prior to 29.0.0.0.

An interim fix for IBM SPSS Statistics 29.0.0.0, 29.0.1.0, and 29.0.1.1 has been created to provide support for running these versions on macOS 14.0 (Sonoma).

    thx!
I have a question. Will there be a patch available in the future to use SPSS 28 on Sonoma?
If not, will it also be impossible to use SPSS 28 on later versions of MacOS after Sonoma?
Thank you very much for your response.

Known Issue DT243265 and IBM Fix Central  have been updated to reflect interim fixes for IBM SPSS Statistics 27.0.x.x, 28.0.x.x and 29.0.x.x have been posted.

An interim fix for IBM SPSS Statistics 26.0.0.x is still forthcoming.

This fix is not working for me. I have followed all download instructions and am still getting the Server Login: Local Computer box

I cannot seem to find the original file to remove and use the fix to replace. I have searched my Mac for libplatdep.dylib, but it does not come up.

    Hi @Lisa Korenman
I'm assuming you are using the Mac "Finder" rather than attempting to replace the file via command line. True?  An important piece when using the Finder is that it doesn't automatically show you the contents of a Mac application bundle.  In this case "SPSS Statistics.app".

Use your Finder to get to the SPSS Statistics installation path and "SPSS Statistics.app" application bundle.
CTRL click the application bundle and select "Show Package Contents" From the context menu.

Drill into the the package contents to find the "Contents/lib" subdirectories.

This is where the 'libplatdep.dylib' original file lives and where the updated file needs to be put.
