Hello Ibrahim,
Good to now that you can work with newer JDK versions together with RAD for now. If you need further information please feel free to ask in this community or directly.
Sincerely

Hello Osman, at the moment we can't change purchased software. We decided to use external JDK(IBM Semeru JDK 20) whereas it has some limitaions like "record" keyword is not recognized. We achieved to use upper Java version API's without a problem. When analyzing RAD version history, I think new major version should arrive soon. Regards.

Hello Ibrahim,
As RAD is used mostly for WebSphere Application Development the used and supported Java version is 8. If you want to go with more modern Java development please have a look at IBM DevOps Model Architect.
Please have a look at the webinar recording here: https://community.ibm.com/community/user/wasdevops/viewdocument/modeling-made-easy-welcome-to-ib?CommunityKey=0ab505af-8e12-4199-843b-0dbbb3848f0e&tab=librarydocuments or on a short blog about IDMA here: https://community.ibm.com/community/user/wasdevops/blogs/cassidy-rimer/2023/06/01/design-applications-using-ibm-devops-model-archite

Hi,
We plan to modernize our Java software. We've been using RAD for many years. We got the latest 9.7 version but understood that only Java 9 is supported which is a disappointment. Do you know that there is a plan for higher Java version support?
Thank you.
